In 1921, Park Superintendent E. O. Orpet established this two parcel park as a horticultural showplace. Today, the Upper and Lower parcels of Orpet Park offer a combined 4-acre oasis of mature trees, rare plants, and picnic tables. There are terraced grassy areas, accessed by stone staircases and shaded by the surrounding trees. Paved paths wind through both the Upper and Lower sections of the park. To go from one parcel to the other, you have to use the crosswalk at the intersection of Alameda Padre Serra (APS) and Pedregosa Street.
Perched on Santa Barbara’s Riviera, Orpet Park offers beautiful ocean and city views.
