Leadbetter Beach Park
Leadbetter Beach Park is one of Santa Barbara’s most cherished, family-friendly destinations. It consists of grassy park and beach stretching between the Harbor and ending at Leadbetter Point, where Shoreline Park begins.
Leadbetter Point is a popular spot for surfers with all levels of experience, and stand-up paddlers. Or sit back and relax on the white sandy beach where Lifeguards are on duty from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. during the summer months.
The grassy area runs along the beach and offers public restrooms, outdoor showers, picnic tables, and barbecues. Closest to Leadbetter Point, is a contained grass and barbecue area, ideal for private events.
Leadbetter Beach Park has a small, free parking lot, and a large pay-lot. Shoreline Beach Cafe sits on Leadbetter Beach, one of the very few beachfront restaurants in the City.
Dogs and alcohol (without permit) are prohibited on City beaches, including Leadbetter Beach.
