Moreton Bay Fig Tree
Over 120 years old, Santa Barbara’s Moreton Bay Fig Tree is claimed to be the largest of its kind in the nation, with a trunk measuring 38 feet in circumference. The tree was planted in 1877 from a cutting from Australia by Adeline Crabb. Santa Barbara officially designated it a “tree of notable historic interest” in September 1970.
Located adjacent to the Amtrak station, the tree is hard to miss and makes for a great photo opportunity.
