Santa Barbara County Courthouse and Sunken Gardens

The Santa Barbara County Courthouse and Sunken Gardens are located in downtown Santa Barbara. Built in 1929, the courthouse complex was designed by William Mooser III and has since been designated as a National Historic Landmark.

The Sunken Gardens lawn is a great place for a picnic and you’ll likely see many locals enjoying their lunch at mid day. Be sure to head up to the top of the clock tower for incredible 360-degree views of the city, ocean, and mountains.
